Pattern Feature command, patterns feature on 3d model. You can select more than one feature. You can select features on-screen or on part navigator.
Command activation:
- Select “Pattern Feature” command on “Home Ribbon Bar => Pattern Feature (in Feature Group)”
- Select “Pattern Feature” command on “Menu => Insert => Associative Copy => Pattern Feature
Seven Layout types existed in “Pattern Definition”. Linear and Circular are the most important ones in this list.
Linear Pattern:
- Change Layout as a ”Linear” in “Pattern Definition” tab
- Select features when “Select Feature” highlighted.
- Define a vector to the pattern. There are two ways to define pattern vector
- Click MMB (middle mouse button). The “Specify Vector” tab will be highlighted. Select a vector when the “Specify Vector” tab highlighted.
- Click on the “Specify Vector” tab then select a pattern vector.
- Type spacing and pitch to a pattern. You can change spacing type in the list of “Spacing”
- If you want to symmetric pattern click on the “Symmetric” box.
- If you want to pattern in the second direction click on “Use Direction 2” in “Direction 2” tab
- Click MMB (middle mouse button) or “Ok” to finish

Circular Pattern:
- Change Layout as a ” Circular” in “Pattern Definition” tab
- Select features when “Select Feature” highlighted. You can select features both on-screen or part navigator. Selected features color changes to light blue on “Part Navigator”.
- Define “Rotation Vector” to a pattern. There are two ways to define a rotation vector. (If you select cylindrical surface, the center of the cylinder will rotation center.)
- Click MMB (middle mouse button). The “Rotation Vector” tab will be highlighted. Select a vector when the “Specify Vector” tab highlighted.
- Click on the “Rotation Vector” tab then select the pattern vector.
- Type count and pitch angle to a pattern. You can change spacing type in the list of “Spacing”
- Click MMB (middle mouse button) or “Ok” to finish
