It is used for:
- Changing view orientation as perpendicular to the datum planes. If nothing selected, view orientation changes to datum plane x,y, or z, which has the closest angle to the current view.
- Changing view orientation perpendicular to a selected face or plane.
Command activation:
- Press F8
- Press and hold right mouse button (RMB) empty area on screen => Commands will appear in a square => Select “Snap View” command
