How to Exit Exploded View Mode in Siemens NX Assembly

Posted on April 30, 2025 by admin Leave a Comment on How to Exit Exploded View Mode in Siemens NX Assembly

If you are working with assemblies in Siemens NX and have entered the exploded view mode, you might wonder how to return to the standard view. This quick guide explains how to properly exit the exploded view in NX Assembly and restore your normal working environment.

In the new versions of the NX, Exiting from the exploded view might be a problem after the explosion is created.
This problem occurs because “No Explosion” is removed from the “Work View Explosion” in new NX versions.

Where to Find the Exploded View Toggle in NX?

The Exploded View toggle is typically found in the Assemblies tab on the ribbon. You can enable or disable exploded views using this icon.

Steps to Exit Exploded View:

  1. Open the assembly navigator.
  2. Click on the “Explosions” icon in the Assembly navigator.
If it is hidden, Activate the “Explosions” from the “Ribbon Options”. (Look tip and figure below the post)
  3. Click twice on explosion on the “Explosions” bar to activate or deactivate the explosion. Also you can
    1. Right-click on the explosion that you want to hide or show.
    2. Select “Hide explosion” or “show explosion”
The active exploded view will be deactivated by clicking twice and the normal Assembly view will be active.

Tip: If you can not find the explosion icon on the assembly navigator, you can activate it as shown in the figure.
