QuickPick helps you to select one of the objects on the way of the mouse cursor that perpendicular to the NX screen. These objects change due to NX applications like part design, assembly, drafting, sketch, etc…
For example, you can not select part design features in the assembly application.
- You can use “QuickPick” to select objects behind the other objects.
- You can select one of the objects that intersect on the same point or area.
The selected object in the list also highlights in the NX graphics window



To open the “QuickPick” list.
- Move the mouse cursor on the object that you want to select.
- Wait three seconds.
- Three dots will appear near the mouse cursor.
- Click the left mouse button.
- “QuickPick” list will open.
- Select the object in the list.
Note 1: You can change cursor waiting time to open the “QuickPick” selection list.
- File => Preferences => Selection
- The “Selection Preferences” dialog box will open.
- Change the delay time in the “QuickPick”

Note 2: You can enable or disable the “QuickPick” function in NX. To activate or deactivate the “QuickPick” click on the box near the “Quickpick on Delay” in the Selection Preferences dialog box.
Note 3: If three dots did not appear near the cursor while the mouse cursor was stationary for more than three seconds, The problem might be occurred because of the deselection of the “Quickpick on delay” in the Selection Preferences dialog box.
