Renaming Sketch in NX Modeling

You can rename sketches in NX modeling during sketch creation and after the sketch was created. 

Methods to change sketch names:

Sketches Created by the “Direct Sketch”:

1. Right-click on the sketch feature in the part navigator.
2. Click on the properties in the opening list
3. The “ Sketch Properties” dialog box will open.
4. Click on the “General” tab
5. Change the “Name” or “Feature Name” 

Note: Also you can change the sketch feature name directly by clicking slowly two times on the sketch in the part navigator. The typing box will open on the sketch name automatically. Type new “Feature name” in this typing box. (You can not change the sketch name by this method. You can change the feature name seems at the end of the sketch name.) The figure shows their differences.

Sketches created by the “Sketch in Task Environment (working sketch active)

1. Type sketch name in the “Name” box in the Home tab as shown in the figure.
