In the NX sketch, there are two different fixing constraint methods. They have small but important differences. As seen in the figure constraint symbols are different for both constraint type.

Fully Fixed:
- You can’t move or change the shape of the curve regardless of the constraints on the curve
- All of the movable edges of the selected curve fix if it is fully fixed (Look figure:1)
- You can not change the length of the curve.
Fixed:
- You can change the position of the curve through its direction by dragging. (look figure 2)
- You can change the length of the curve. (The direction of the curve do not change)
- You can see the fixing symbol on the center of the curve. (Look figure:1)
- You can change the length or position of the curve by using dimensions.
