Rotating View Through Axis, Line, or Edge

Rotating is one of the most important functions in Solidworks as other cad programs. You can rotate the working view through a linear object as edge, line, axis, etc…

To Rotate view through a linear object in Solidworks:

1. Move the mouse cursor on a linear object. (Like edge, line, axis)
2. Edge under the mouse cursor will be highlighted. (color changes to orange)
3. Click on the middle mouse button
4. The mouse cursor icon will change to rotate through the line icon as shown in the image.
5. Press and hold the middle mouse icon and drag the mouse to rotate view through the selected edge, line, or axis.
6. Release the middle mouse button to exit rotate function.
