Starting SolidWorks Modeling

There are three main modules in SolidWorks modeling. These modules are seen on the “New Solidworks Document” dialog box when you click on the “New Part” command.

Part: It is used for part modeling. You can create a solid body, surface model, or sheet metal.

Assembly: It is used for Assembly modeling by combining parts and/or sub-assemblies.

Drawing: You can create 2D engineering drawings of created parts or assemblies. Also, you can draw 2D curves.
