AFK is the shortening that sometimes you can see on chat screen when playing MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).
It is the shortening of “Away from Keyboard”
Peoples are using AFK shortening when
- They are not online but their character is still in the game
- They will go away from the keyboard and they will not respond to you
- If the player opened a stall and AFK is written on a stall, He or she is away from the computer and can not respond to you
