Changing Default Sheet Metal Thickness in NX.

You can change the default sheet metal thickness in the NX Sheet Metal Application. The figure below shows the setting location in the “Customer Defaults”.

To change the default sheet metal thickness:

1. Open the “Customer Defaults”.
   File => Utilities => Customer Defaults”
2. The “Customer Defaults” dialog box will open.
3. Click on “Sheet Metal” on the left panel.
4. The “Part Properties” bar under the “General” bar will be opened automatically on the left panel.
5. Type a new material thickness value into the box as shown in the figure.
6. Click the “Ok” button in the dialog box to apply changes.
7. The dialog box will close.
8. Restart Nx to apply changes in the “Customer Defaults”
