Changing Sketch name in NX

NX Release: 2206

You can change the sketch name and feature in Siemens NX. The changed sketch name and feature name are seen in the Part Navigator.

To change Sketch Name:

1. Open sketch. (Click twice on a sketch to open the sketch environment).
2. The sketch name box is currently hidden in NX sketching.
   Click on the Sketch group drop-down arrow and make visible the “Name” command.
   
3. Type a new sketch name in the “Name” box
   
4. Finish “Sketch”

To Change the Sketch Feature Name:

1. Click on the sketch in the part navigator. Its color will be blue
2. Press “F2” or click the left mouse button slowly
3. Type a new name.
4. Press Enter.

To change both Sketch Name and Feature Name:

1. Click the right mouse button on Sketch.
2. Select the “Properties” on the opening list
3. The “Sketch Properties” dialog box will open.
4. Click on the “General” path.
5. Type new “Name” and “Feature Name”
   
6. Click the “Ok” button to apply changes. The sketch name and feature name will be seen on the part navigator.
