Creating Circle in 3D Siemens NX Model

You can create Circles by using the “Arc/Circle” command in NX Modeling. If you want to create a circle change the setting in the dialog box as shown in the figure.

To create a Circle:

  1. Start the “Arc/Circle” command.
  2. Turn on the “Full Circle” checkbox to create a circle
  3. Set the creation method.
    1. Arc/Circle from Center
    2. Three Point Arc
  4. Specify points in the graphics window to create a circle.
  5. If you want to define a radius, click on the “End Option” in the “Through Point” tab as shown in the figure, and select the “Radius” option.
  6. If you want to define a diameter, click on the “End Option” in the “Through Point” tab, and select the “Diameter” option.
  7. If you want to create a circle tangent to any object in the model, click on the “Tangent” in the “Through Point”,  “Start  Point”, “Mid Point” or “End Point” tabs as shown in the figure, and select the “Radius” option.
  8. A preview of the circle will be seen in the graphics window.
  9. Click the “OK” button in the graphics window to create a circle.
