You can create a point set that is arranged at an equal distance on a curve or edge in NX Modeling. For this operation, the “Point Set” command is used. The command location on the ribbon bar is shown in the figure.

To create a point set on a curve
- Start the “Point Set” command.
- Select curve or edge.
(You can select more than one curve but they should be connected to each other.) - Change the “Curve Points by” setting to “Equal Arc Length”.
- Type the number of points you want to create into the “Number of Points” box in the dialog box.
- If you want to create points from start to end.
Start Percentage: 0
End Percentage: 100 - You will see a preview of the points on the curve.
- Click on the “OK” button to create points.
