Extending Curves in NX Sketch

You can extend the curves to the first curve on its path or to the selected curve on its path. Also, you can extend the curves to the extension of another curve.

To extend curves “Extend” command is used in NX Sketch. The figure shows the location of the  “Extend” command on the “Home Ribbon Bar”.

To extend the curve to the first object on its path:

  1. Start the “Extend” command.
  2. Select Curve to extend.
  3. The preview of the extended curve will be seen in the figure.
  4. Click on the curve to extend.
  5. Select new objects to extend or press the middle mouse button to close the command.

To Extend the curve to the selected object:

  1. Start the “Extend” command.
  2. Click on the “Select Curve” in the “Boundary Curve” group
  3. Select the limit object for the extended curve.
    If you want to extend to the extension of the selected curve, Turn on the “Extend to Extension” in the settings group. (The figure)
  4. Click on the “Select Curve” in the “Curve to Extend” group
  5. Select Curve to extend.
  6. The preview of the extended curve will be seen in the figure.
  7. Click on the curve to extend.
  8. Select new objects to extend or press the middle mouse button to close the command.
