You can trim curves in the NX Sketch by using the “Trim” command in the “Edit” group in the “home Ribbon Bar” as shown in the figure.
To trim curves:
- Start the “Trim” command.
- The “Select Curve” bar in the “Curve to Trim” group is highlighted automatically when the command dialog box is opened.
- Select curves to trim.
- Click on the curve to trim. (When you move the cursor on the curve, the partition of the curve that will be trimmed color will be red.)
- Drag the mouse on the trimming objects.
- Click the middle mouse button to exit the command.
The figure shows the sketch curves modified by the “Trim” command.
Note: If you want to make some of the curves unselectable in the sketch when trimming curves in the sketch.
- Click on the “Select Curve” in the “Boundary Curve” group.
- select the curves in the sketch you want to protect from the “Trim” command. (The selected curves color will change and becomes unselectable by trim command)
- Click on the “Select Curve” bar in the “Curve to Trim” group to select trimming objects
