Slot Drawing on Sketch

There is no slot command in the sketch. You can easily draw a slot by using a profile command. But there is one more alternative way to draw slots.

  1. Draw two parallel lines.
  2. Select fillet command. Click the left mouse button on-screen and drag the mouse as shown in the figure.
  3. Select fillet command again. Click on the screen and drag the mouse on the opposite side of the first fillet.

Also, you can select each line separately by clicking on lines (without dragging the mouse). In this method, radius directions might be in the wrong direction. You can change direction by clicking “create alternate fillet” on options of the fillet dialogue box.

There isn’t any feature in any CAD program as bad as sketching in NX.

Absolute rubbish the sketch environment of NX. But the developers at Siemens NX aren’t learning anything new with future versions either. You don’t have to work with that second-rate junk either! This feature SLOT is available in almost every free software. Only with SIEMENS NX is the FEATURE SLOT not programmable. What kind of pathetic team is developing this obsolete junk? SIEMENS NX. I don’t understand Daimler who exchanged Catia for this rubbish from Siemens. They will probably get NX for free!
