Extend Entities

You can extend the curves in the sketch by using two different methods in Solidworks. 

If you want to extend the curve to the next curve, it is better to use the “Extend Entities” command.

If you want to extend a line over a group of curves, it is better to use the “Power Trim” method in the “Trim Entities” command. (Click here to read “Trim Entities” post)

To extend curve to next curve:

1. Start the “Extend Entities” command
2. Move the cursor on the line.
3. The line will be highlighted and the preview of the curve will be seen on the graphics window.
4. Click on the line to extend.
5. Press the “Esc” key to finish the command.
