Rectangle

The Rectangle command creates a rectangle in the sketch. Five different rectangle types can be created by using the rectangle command

To create a rectangle click on the “Rectangle icon on the Sketch Command Manager.

To select the type of rectangle:

  • Click the drop-down arrow near the “Rectangle” command
  • Start the “Rectangle command. Select the type on the “Rectangle Type” tab in the “Command Property Manager”.

Types of rectangles:

  1. Corner Rectangle
  2. Center Rectangle
  3. 3 Point Corner Rectangle
  4. 3 Point Center Rectangle
  5. Parallelogram

Note: You can add construction lines to rectangles. Turn on the checkbox near the “Add construction lines” to activate rectangle construction lines

Types of rectangle construction lines:

  1. From Corners
  2. From Midpoints
The figure shows the differences between rectangle construction lines.
