Sketch Fillet

Sketch fillet command creates a radius at the intersection of two curves. These curves might be free or connected at the intersection point.

To create a fillet:

  1.  Activate the “Sketch Fillet” command
  2. Type the fillet radius value in the “Fillet Parameters” tab.
  3. Select the first line
  4. Select the second line
  5. The preview of the fillet will be seen at the intersection of the lines.
  6. Click on “Ok” to create a fillet.
  7. Click on “Ok” or press the “Esc” key to finish the command.

Note: You can create more than one fillet at the same time. 

Note 2: If the fillet preview does not occur and can not make fillet on the intersection of the lines, The line length might be smaller than the radius value.

Example: Create a fillet radius: 5mm as shown in the figure.

Solution: 

  1. Draw lines
  2. Click on the “Sketch Fillet” command”
  3. Type “5” on a radius value bar in the “Fillet Parameters” tab
  4. Select line 1 and line 2
  5. Click “Ok” to create the fillet
  6. If the fillet created. Press “Esc” to exit command
