In the previous post, I write methods to zoom in and zoom out. There are different zoom techniques in Solidworks to zoom the selected area, the selected object, and fit all the parts on the graphics window.
Zoom to defined area:
- Activate the “Zoom to area” command,
- Right-click on the SolidWorks graphic window and select the “Zoom to Area” command
- Click on the command in the Heads-up View toolbar.
- Click on the command by using the path of
View => Modify => Zoom to Area
- To define the zooming area on the graphics window, click and drag the left mouse button on the area you want to fit on the screen
- Close the command.
- Press “Esc”
- Click on the middle mouse button.
Zoom to Fit: You can zoom to fit all parts, objects, curves, components in the graphics window of Solidworks.
To fit all objects in the graphics window:
- Click twice the middle mouse button
- Press “F” on Keyboard
- Click on the “Zoom to Fit” command.
- Right-click on the screen and select the “Zoom to Fit” command on the opening list
- Click on the “Zoom to Fit” command in the Heads-up View toolbar.
Zoom to Selection: You can zoom and fit the selected object in the SolidWorks graphics window by using the “Zoom to Selection” command.
To zoom selected object:
- Click the right or left mouse button on the object.
- Select the “Zoom to Selection” command from the pop-up commands near the cursor.
