Pan

You can move the Solidworks graphics window screen without changing the view orientation. This operation is called a Pan/Panning in the cad modeling. 

Note: The positions and the configurations of the objects/parts do not change during the pan.

To Pan:

Method1: 

  1. Click on the “Pan” command. (View => Modify => Pan). 
  2. Press and hold the right mouse button.
  3. Drag the mouse cursor.

Method 2: 

  1. Hold down the “Ctrl” key on the keyboard.
  2. Hold down the middle mouse button
  3. Drag the cursor on the screen.

Method 3: 

  1. Hold down the “Ctrl” key on the keyboard.
  2. Press the arrow keys on the keyboard.
