The circular Pattern method is used to create circular pattern instances in NX Sketch. You can create a full circular pattern or semi-circular pattern on a specified angle.
To create a Circular Pattern:
- Start the “Pattern Curve” command.
- Set the “Layout” method to “Circular”.
- Select objects to pattern. (“Select Curve” in the “Curve to Pattern” active)
- Click the middle mouse once to activate the “Specify Point” bar in the “Pattern Definition => Rotation Point” group.
- Specify a rotation point on the NX graphics screen.
- The preview of the pattern instances will appear in the graphics window
- If you want to change the pattern direction, click on the “Reverse Direction” icon
- Set the circular patterning method:
- Count and Pitch: The total number of patterns. (includes the selected curve). The angle between each pattern instance.
- Count and Span: The total number of patterns. The total angle between the first selected object and the last instance created in the pattern.
- Pitch and Span: Angle between each instance and the total angle of the pattern.
- Type the “Count” and “Pitch Angle” values in the “Angular Direction” group.
- Click “Ok” to create a circular pattern and close the command dialog box.
