Creating a New Component in NX Assembly

You can create a new component in NX Assembly. This component can be a part or sub-assembly in the main assembly file.

To create a New component in the NX Assembly file:

1. Start the “New Component” command.
2. To create a Part component:
   1. Do not select any component
   2. Type a new component name in the “Component Name” box.
   3. Click on the “Ok” button
3. To create a Sub-Assembly in the main assembly
   1. Select components that will be the components of the new sub-assembly will be created.
   2. Type a new component name in the “Component Name” box.
   3. Click on the “Ok” button
4. You will see the new component on the “Assembly Navigator”.
