General Pattern in NX Sketch

You can create patterns of the objects by using reference points in NX Sketching. This method is called General Pattern

To create a General Pattern:

  1. Start the “Pattern Curve” command.
  2. Set the “Layout” method to “General”.
  3. Select objects to create a pattern. (“Select Curve” in the “Curve to Pattern” active)
  4. Click the middle mouse once to activate the “Specify Point” bar in the “From” group.
  5. Specify a reference start point for patterning.
  6. The “Specify Point” bar in the “To” group will highlight.
  7. Select points in the NX graphics screen to create patterns.
  8. The preview of the patterns will appear in the graphics window.
  9. Click “Ok” to create patterns.
