Extending Sheet Face Edge in NX

You can extend sheet bodies on the selected edge of the sheet Face. It looks like the “Extrude” command but you extend only the edge of the sheet body on the path of the sheet face.

To extend sheet edges the “Extend Sheet” command is used.

• Surface Ribbon Bar => Combine Group => Extend Sheet
• Menu => Insert => Trim => Extend Sheet

To Extrude a sheet edge:

1. Start the “Extend Sheet” command.
2. The dialog box will open.
3. Select Sheet edges to extend.
   
4. Type the Offset value in the “Offset” box.
5. The preview will be seen in the graphics window.
6. Click on the “Ok” button in the dialog box to apply changes to the model and exit from the command.

Note: You can extend more than one edge of the sheet face as shown in the figure.
