Importing Image files into the Siemens NX Drafting

In NX Drafting, You can import external image files such as PNG, JPG, TIF, or BMP formats to the technical drawing sheets. 

There are two different methods to import external image files into the NX Drafting file.

1. By using the “Image” command:
   • NX Drafting Application is activated.
   • Start the “Image” command as shown in the figure.
     
   • The “Insert Image” command dialog box will open.
   • Click on the “Folder” icon near the “Choose image file.
   • Select an image file and click “OK” to import the image into the sheet.
   • The image preview will be seen in the graphics window.
     You can relocate and resize the image by dragging the handles on the image preview.
   • Click the “OK” button to import the image and close the command dialog box.
2. By dragging:
   • Drag the external image file into the active working Siemens NX drafting graphics window.
