Creating Intersection Curve in Siemens NX

You can create curves on the intersection of the objects. These intersection curves can be created:

• on the intersection of objects such as surfaces or solid bodies
• on the intersection of different components in the assembly model.

Note: In Assembly modeling, If you can not select components, change the selection filter to “Entire Assembly” as shown in the figure below. 

To create intersection curves:

1. Start the “Intersection Curve” command.
   1. Curve Ribbon Bar => Derived Group => “Intersection Curve”
   2. Menu => Insert => Derived Group => “Intersection Curve”
2. The  “Intersection Curve” command dialog box will open.
   
3. Select first face set in the model.
4. Click the middle mouse button to activate the “Select Face” bar in the “Set 2” group.
5. Select second face set in the model.
   
6. Click the “OK” button to create an intersection curve.
