You can create curves on the intersection of the objects. These intersection curves can be created:
- on the intersection of objects such as surfaces or solid bodies
- on the intersection of different components in the assembly model.
Note: In Assembly modeling, If you can not select components, change the selection filter to “Entire Assembly” as shown in the figure below.
To create intersection curves:
- Start the “Intersection Curve” command.
- Curve Ribbon Bar => Derived Group => “Intersection Curve”
- Menu => Insert => Derived Group => “Intersection Curve”
- The “Intersection Curve” command dialog box will open.
- Select first face set in the model.
- Click the middle mouse button to activate the “Select Face” bar in the “Set 2” group.
- Select second face set in the model.
- Click the “OK” button to create an intersection curve.
