Changing Part Color in Assembly

Posted on January 25, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment on Changing Part Color in Assembly

You should be careful when changing part colors in the assembly modeling in NX. There are several rules to be considered when coloring parts in assembly modeling.

After starting the “Edit Object Display” command set the “Type Filter” on the top border.

Type filter settings for “Edit Object Display”:

Component:

  • Only the selected part colorize. The same parts in the assembly do not colorize.
  • If you open part as a work part, the color of the part changes to the default part color.

No Selection Filter:

  • Same as “Component”

Solid Body:

  • The selected solid body color changes in the part.
  • The body color change in all patterns of the part in the assembly.
  • The color of the part changes permanently. Color stays stable when opened as a work part.

Sheet Body:

  • The selected sheet body color changes in the part.
  • The selected sheet body color change in all patterns of the part in the assembly.
  • The sheet body color of the part changes permanently. Color stays stable when opened as a work part.

Face:

  • Selected Faces colorizes
  • The selected faces of the part color change in all patterns of the part in the assembly.
  • Selected color faces change permanently.
