Scale Curve in NX Sketch

The “Scale Curve” command scales the selected curves in the NX Sketch. There are two methods in the command to scale curves.

  • Dynamic Method: Scales the curves by using scale ratio
  • Dimension Method: Scales the curves by specifying a new value to existed dimension.

To scale curves in the sketch:

  1. Start the “Scale Curve” command.
  2. Select curves to resize. (“Select Curve” in the “Curve” tab highlighted.)
  3. Set the scaling method.
    1. Dynamic: Type the scaling ratio in the “Scale Factor” box.
    2. Dimension: Select the existed dimension and specify the new dimension value to scale.
  4. Click on the “ Specify Scale Point” under the “Scale” tab to highlight.
Specify the scaling center on the graphics window.
  5. Inspect the preview of the scaled curves in the graphics window.
  6. Click the “Ok” Botton to finish the command.

Note: It is a good solution to use the “Dimension Method” scaling if you are trying to draw the imported picture consisting of dimensions behind the sketch.

It seems that when we face a more complicated curve, it demands a lot of time, is that true?

      Yes.
It depends on the computer’s performance.
