You can create text on surfaces, planes, or curves by using the “Text” command.
To activate command:
- Curve Ribbon Bar => Curve Group => Text
- Menu => Insert => Curve => Text
To write Text on the surface:
- Activate the “Text” command.
- Set “Type” as “On Face” from the first tab of the command dialog box.
- Select face to write text on it. (“Select Face” in the “Text Placement Face” is highlighted)
- Click the middle mouse button to activate the next tab.
- Select a curve to specify the text location and direction. Select Curve in the Location on the Face tab is highlighted.)
- To change the direction of the text click an arrowhead in the graphics window. Also, you can click the icon box near the “Reverse Character Direction”.
- To change the text location drag the center handle and center arrowhead in the graphics window.
- To change the size of the text change the “Dimensions” in the “Text Frame” tab.
- Click the middle mouse button to finish command.
To write text on a curve
- Activate the “Text” command.
- Set “Type” as “On Curve” from the first tab of the command dialog box.
- Select a curve to write text on it.
- If you want to change the orientation of the text, set the “Orientation Method” as a vector, and select a vector to specify the direction of the text.
- Click “Ok” or “Apply” to finish command.
To write text on a planar
- Activate the “Text” command.
- Set “Type” as “Planar” from the first tab of the command dialog box.
- Change “Specify CSYS” for different location methods.
- Dynamic: Text will be creating on the Moving handle. You can change the location and the direction by moving/rotating handle in the graphics window.
- CSYS of Current View: Text will be created perpendicular to the looking direction of the screen.
- Click “Ok” to finish command.
