Delete Face

You can delete faces on the model by using the “Delete Face” command.

There are four types in “Delete Face” command

  1. Face
  2. Blend
  3. Hole
  4. Blend Size

Face Delete: You can delete faces and remove features on the model.

Example: You want to delete text and holes in the model

  1. Activate the “Delete Face” command.
  2. Set type as a Face
  3. Select Holes and text on the screen by dragging the mouse. (Also you can select each surface separately by clicking on it)
  4. Click MMB (Middle Mouse Button) to finish. (Also you can finish by clicking Ok or Apply on command window )

Blend Delete: You can delete blended faces on the model. Alternatively, you can delete blended faces by changing “Face Rule” on the top border. Change “Face Rule” to “Connected Blend Faces” while the type is set as a face.

Example: You want to delete blended faces

  1. Activate the “Delete Face” command.
  2. Set type as a “Blend”
  3. Select one face on the blended face. The rest of the blend faces will select automatically
  4. Select other blended faces.
  5. Click MMB (Middle Mouse Button) to finish. (Also you can finish by clicking Ok or Apply on command window )

Hole Delete: You can delete Holes on the model. Alternatively, you can use face delete but you should select all faces of the hole.

Example: You want to delete holes in the model

  1. Activate the “Delete Face” command.
  2. Set type as a “Hole”
  3. Select the cylindrical face of the hole
  4. Three holes will be selected atomically because their diameters are equal. If you don’t want to delete all equal holes, remove click near “Select Holes By Size”
  5. Click MMB (Middle Mouse Button) to finish.

Blend Size: It looks like blend delete but you can delete all blends under specified diameter. (I prefer to use blend instead of this because it is hard to control “Blend Size”. I think it is better to select each blend faces one by one)

Example: You want to delete blend faces on the model.

  1. Activate the “Delete Face” command.
  2. Set type as a “Blend Size”
  3. Select blend face of the model to delete
  4. Type radius value in “Blend Size” box
  5. Look model carefully. Blend size select and deletes atomically other blend faces on the model
  6. Click MMB (Middle Mouse Button) to finish
