Type Filter

Posted on July 14, 2019 by admin Leave a Comment on Type Filter

Filters your selections on the NX screen. You can not select anything on screen out of the defined filter.

By the default “No selection filter” in “Type Filter” is selected.  You can select everything on the screen. If you move the mouse cursor on an object in screen and wait three seconds, three-dot will appear. Click the left mouse button on the screen. Objects list will be open. In this list, there will components, bodies, curves, edges … through the mouse cursor axis on screen. You can select objects in this list. If you select a curve in “Type Filter”, only curves will be in this opening window.

For example: If you select an edge in type filter, you can only select edges. There is not any way to select anything out of edge on the screen. (You can select other objects only by using the part navigator.)

If you have any selection problems in NX, It is most likely occurs because of your “Type Filter” settings.

Note: Type filter is on “Top Border Bar”. You can not find this function from the command finder.
