Assigning shortcuts to commands in NX

You can assign letters as a shortcut to commands in NX.

To assign a shortcut

  1. Right-click on an empty area in the ribbon bar. 
  2. Select “Customize” from the bottom of the list.
    Also, you can press “Ctrl+1” on the keyboard to open “Customize” 
  3. Customize dialog will be opened.
  4. Click on “Keyboard” in the “Customize” dialog
  5. “Customize Keyboard” dialog will be open.
  6. Find your command from the list in “Categories” and “Commands”.
    (If you can not find command, You can use the “Command Finder” and look at the command located in the menu.)
  7. Select a command to assign a letter.
  8. Type the shortcut letter in the “Press new shortcut key” box in the dialog.
  9. Click on the “Assign” box.
  10. If the shortcut has been used for another command, The used command will be seen in the current keys list. select the command from the list and click on “Remove” to delete its shortcut. Repeat steps 6, 7 and 8 to assign a shortcut.
  11. Click “Close to exit “Customize Keyboard” dialog
  12. Click “Close” in the dialog to exit the “Customize” dialog.

Tip: If you can not assign a shortcut to a command, Change the setting in the “Use new shortcut in:” setting from “Global” to “Application Only”
