Diameter or Radius Measuring Problem in NX Modeling

In the newer versions of the NX, You might have measuring problems during 3D model face or curve radius measuring. This problem occurs because of the settings in the Measure command.

First of all, check the “Preferences” settings in the measure command.

1. Start the “Measure” command
2. Click on the “Preferences” setting icon at the bottom of the command dialog box.
3. The “Measurement Preferences” dialog box will open.
   1. Click on the “Measurements” on the left panel.
   2. Check the “Curve/Edge” and “Face” tabs. The checked properties will be shown in the measurement command. Turn on the “Radius” and “ Diameter” in these tabs
   3. Click “Ok” to apply changes.

Start the “Measure” command and select curve or face to measure. You should see the radius and diameter of the selected object in the graphics window. If you can not see the diameter and radius dimensions, You should look at the selections on the “Result Filter” tab in the dialog box.

• Problem 1: I can not measure a circular curve radius.
• Solution 1: Click on and activate the “Curve/Edge” in the “Result Filter” tab as shown in the figure

• Problem 2: I can not measure a  circular face radius on the model.
• Solution 2: Click on and activate the “Face” in the “Result Filter” tab as shown in the figure
