Snap to curve problem in the NX

You might have a problem with snaping curves when you try to create a curve or object close to the curve. You can solve this problem by using two different methods.

Solution 1:

This problem occurs because of the activation of the “Allow Snap to Closest Point Option”. By default, this option is deactivated by NX. But it might have been activated by mistake. Deactivate this option to draw close curves to each other.

To deactivate “Allow Snap to Closest Point Option”:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow on the right side of the “Top Border Bar”.
  2. Click Selection Group. A new list will be opened.
  3. Find “Allow Snap to Closest Point Option” on the list.
  4. Click on this snap option.
  5. This option will be placed on the “Top Border Bar”
  6. Click on the “Allow Snap to Closest Point Option” in the top bar to activate or deactivate.

Note: You can not find this option by using “Command Finder”. Because “Command Finder” only finds commands. This is not command. This is an option.

Solution 2:

  1. Press and hold the “Alt” key on the keyboard.
  2. All snap options are deactivated while you are pressing the “Alt” key.
  3. Specify the start or endpoint in the graphics window.
  4. Release the “Alt” key.
