Arrow Lines on Ordinate Dimensions

In the NX drafting, the dimension arrow lines are created on the ordinate dimensions with the NX default settings. You can hide these arrows for the new or created ordinate dimensions by using different methods

To hide arrows for new ordinate dimensions:

  • Open the template part in the “C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX\UGII\templates”
  • Start the Drafting application
  • Open the “Drafting Preferences”
    (Menu => Preferences => Drafting)
  • Select the “Ordinate” tab in the “Dimension” tab on the left panel of the dialog box.
  • Turn off the checkbox near the “Show Dimension Line”
  • Click “Ok” to apply settings and close the drafting preferences dialog box.
  • Save and close the NX template file.

To hide arrows on the created “Ordinate Dimensions”

  • Right-click on the dimension zero on the ordinate dimension
  • Click on the “Settings” on the opened list
  • Select the “Ordinate” on the left of the dialog box.
  • Turn off the checkbox near the “Show Dimension Line” in the “Set” tab.
  • Click “Ok”
